  • Truck Driver - CDL Class A Driver

    Job Information Job Summary:

    The Class A CDL Driver / Laborer will safely and efficiently transport and deliver materials and equipment to job sites in a timely and professional manner and perform construction labor as needed.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • None

     

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Operates a semi, dump truck or truck according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
    • Transport loads safely and in a timely manner over required routes, obeying all traffic laws, and observing all safety regulations.
    • Deftly maneuvers truck into loading and unloading areas; follows crew signals.
    • Assists with loading of loads and unloads goods materials, using specialized equipment when warranted.
    • Maintains required paperwork; delivers documentation to office or other appropriate staff when route is complete.
    • Facilitates routine service on trucks, which may include checking oil, water, gasoline, and air; reports maintenance malfunctions to Garage Supervisor.
    • Arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading patterns.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned such as shoveling, raking gravel and dirt and moving materials.

     

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Ability to use GPS and electronic truck logs.
    • Ability to remain focused in busy environment.

     

    Education and Experience:

    • Must hold required commercial driver’s license appropriate for weight of vehicle to be operated.
    • Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state department(s) of transportation regulations.

     

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods of sitting in a trailer cab for long periods of time.
    • Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds at a time.
    • Must be able to travel frequently

  • Excavation Operator

    Job Information Job Summary:

    The Equipment Operator/Laborer performs construction and maintenance activities by performing labor and operating a variety of heavy equipment.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Operates a variety of heavy equipment such as a skid loader, track hoe, and dozer.
    • Prior to operating equipment, conducts routine inspections to identify needed maintenance or repairs.
    • Monitors gauges and other indicators to ensure safe operation.
    • Performs or requests necessary repairs and adjustments to equipment.
    • Assists with repairs as needed.
    • Adheres to all safety rules, guidelines, and codes.
    • Maintains records of time worked and materials used.
    • Performs other related duties such as shoveling, raking gravel and dirt, and moving materials.

     

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Thorough understanding of practices involved in the use of various types of heavy equipment.
    • Thorough understanding of maintenance and basic repairs associated with heavy equipment.
    • Thorough understanding of safety rules and ability to safely operate machinery.
    • Ability to read and understand grade stakes.
    • Familiarity with laser-guided equipment is helpful.
    • Rough grade with skid loaders, track hoe, and dozer.
    • Operation of various hand tools and manual power equipment.
    • Completion of tasks with good workmanship in a neat and timely manner.

     

    Education and Experience:

    • Prior heavy equipment operator experience.
    • Valid driver’s license.

     

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to physically operate heavy equipment.
    • Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and stand to operate and repair heavy equipment.
    • Must be able to work in all types of weather, including extremely hot temperatures.
    • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
